– Jean Pierre Dupuy, 2008
The fear of the unstoppable has always been a part of our lives. For this reason, humankind has created various forms of representing ways in which the world – and our existence in it – could end.
Codex Finis is an experimental graphic investigation on the human imaginary regarding this fear.
The process started with a period of extensive research on different stories and theories about the end of the world. After that, all of the gathered data was arranged in a series of table schemes in order to better highlight the common and divergent traits in those theories.
